Linac and CT Sim Replacements

Creative solutions were required to accommodate a new Varian Linac and Phillips CT Simulator at John Muir's Concord Cancer Center. With greatly increased equipment and storage requirements but limited existing space, BFHL made use of peripheral spaces such as a former Klystron closet as well as spaces adjacent to the new Varian Silhouette cabinet. In addition, the control room was redesigned with great attention to detail to house not only medical imaging and monitoring equipment but also patient films and charts, nursing supplies, and staff supply and lockers. This project received full OSHPD approval after one backcheck.
